The Secret:
“The Roadcase Phonemena” is based on a classic optical illusion called the “Shepard Tables”. Originally published in 1990 by Stanford psychologist Roger Shepard, it is considered one of the most powerful optical illusions ever created. The original simple drawing featured two parallelograms presented as tabletops. The shapes are identical except for their rotation. But by adding simple legs, or sides to the shapes, the mind is tricked into perceiving the shapes in three-dimensional space. This creates a very convincing impression of impossibility.
